Aloha You Good and Giving People!

Welcome to the Fringe Volunteer Community. This is where volunteer news will be posted and questions will be answered, so check back often. Volunteers are the backbone of the Fringe, and the Festival couldn't happen without us!

Here Comes the Fringe!!!

The Fringe is imminently approaching! It is time to get our schedules all in a row, get the programs out, and have fun on the Fringe! Please check out all the opportunities and we'll get our schedules locked away!

Get your Shifts Together!

Set your schedule for the Festival!

Every day of the Festival we will need venue staff.  So, to make things easy, just send me the hours on the days between Thursday, August 14 and Sunday, August 24.  We'll need people starting at 10:00am and going until 11:00pm.  I've created shifts which will be from one to four hours long.  Just let me know the days and hours, and I'll invite you to the shifts.
You can email me your availabilities to volunteers@boulderfringe.com or call me at 515.689.8183.

Training Sessions and Parties!

Volunteer training sessions are where you will be finding out all about what and where we'll be doing during the Fringe!  You will be getting info and possibly your Staff Shirt.  There are three choices for training sessions:
Wednesday, August 6, 7:00pm
Sunday, August 10, 2:00pm
Wednesday, August 13, 7:00pm.  You need to attend a session, so just call or email me to let me know which one works for you.

...And party with us!
Following the Sunday, August 10 session there is going to be a Fringe ramp-up party.  All members of the Fringe community (Volunteers, Aritsts, Staff, Board Members, etc) are invited to this casual grill-out/potluck.  It will start at 4:00pm at our Festival Director's house at 1625 16th St., right here in Boulder.  Bring yourself!  Bring food!  Bring a friend and we'll talk them into joining on!
Kids, Markets, and Festivals!
Special Opportunities!

Saturday, August 16
is going to be the Inaugural KidsFringe!  This all-day event will be held at Boulder's Central Park.  We'll need help from 9am to 2pm and then from 2pm to 7pm.  If you enjoy helping outside and working with kids and teens, let me know specifically that you would like to work at the KidsFringe.

Also on Saturday, August 16, is the Boulder Asian Festival.  We will be having a presence at the Festival, and need help spreading the Fringe to all the Asian Festival attendees.  If you'd like to be involved in this opportunity, please let me know.
We still have a few Farmer's Markets left.  We will be handing out programs and promotionals.  We still need help on:
  • August 2, 9am-1pm
  • August 9, 9am-1pm
  • August 13, 4pm-8pm
  • August 20, 4pm-8pm
  • August 23, 9am-1pm
Mountains of Programs!
Programs go in, Programs go out...
We just received 15,000 programs, and well, we need to distribute them!  So, if you have a car and would be willing to take programs out into the community or the surrounding communities, let me know and we'll get you a distribution zone or three.  This would ideally start on Friday, August 1st, and will continue throughout August.  Please let me know specifically if you'd like to help with this effort.
Tech It Out!
Technical Opportunities

Saturday, August 9th
is the big tech set-up at the Dairy Center and the BMoCA.  We'll need helping hands starting and 9am and going until 6pm.  If you enjoy working on the technical side of the theatre, please let me know specifically that you'd like to help with this.
Sunday, August 24th, we will need help with Strike!  If you have willing arms and a nocturnal personality, we need help from 10pm until 1am to help us load all of the gear back into the PAC.
