Jessica Kiger, Associate Producer

Jessica Kiger
Jessica Kiger is an opera singer and a recent graduate of CU. Having traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, she is no stranger to the fringe of art.
Fringe is an amazing collage, a collection of what is best about the Boulder community. It’s a bit more sophisticated than the collages I made as a kid, but really, Fringe is made up of what our imaginations can build in the world if we are given the opportunity. Whether on paper, on the stage, in a song or a dance, whatever it is that we do, the Fringe gives us a venue to express ourselves and the freedom to thrive creatively. We celebrate our creativity with all sorts of different people from around the world and get to share what we create with one another, and in this we learn about ourselves. As an artist coming from a classical background, Fringe has really taught me a lot about creative freedom.

I originally became involved with BIFF as a volunteer stage manager in January 2005. I didn’t know anything about Fringe Festivals so it was love at first fringe! Slowly I have found my way to the foreground of the Boulder Fringe team as an Associate Producer working with sponsorships and organization of the festival, year-round. I look forward to another exciting year of Fringe!
